Logistics

Security and integrity of assets must be maintained throughout the supply chain to meet business objectives and ensure delivery of quality products to your consumers.

To ensure superior products are delivered to your consumers, strict controls must be in place at every point in the supply chain. Minimizing risk to your assets and logistics processes requires coordination and diligence. The Logistics Security experts at Andrews International (AI) are uniquely qualified to handle your supply chain asset protection needs.

By combining the right people, processes and technology with a failsafe system of checks and balances, oversight, and accountability, we ensure security is not compromised. Many of the Fortune 500 count AI as their provider of choice for supply chain protection, based on the broad scope of our expertise:

  • Perimeter security
  • Interior security – overt and covert
  • Gate & access control
  • Measuring throughput costs
  • Site engineering
  • Emergency & crisis response
  • Yard management solutions
  • Real-time incident reporting
  • Tour tracking systems

Specialized Training

Private security personnel are often the first line of defense against the very real threat of terrorism and supply chain sabotage. Currently, AI provides three advanced anti-terrorism training programs that include the following topics:

  • Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Training (C-TPAT)
  • Mandatory Anti-Terrorism Training
  • DOT HAZMAT Training
  • OSHA Training
  • Maritime Training for Seaport Facilities

C-TPAT Training

The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) course is designed to train security officers per the standards set forth by the Department of Homeland Security. This training focuses on the security aspects vital for shipping/receiving facilities, distribution centers and/or any sites dealing with transportation of goods. C-TPAT is a joint voluntary government–business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen the overall supply chain and border security.

Anti-Terrorism Training

Effective June 2009, all active security officers are required to successfully pass our Anti-Terrorism Training program. What makes this initiative significant is this training is mandatory for ALL active security officers — regardless of their hire date — making us the first security provider to train its entire security force in Anti-Terrorism.

This program trains officers to recognize and identify the types of terrorist and terrorist organizations, become familiar with the methods which terrorists may attack, and learn techniques/responses to bombs, bomb threats, chemical and biological threats.

This unit also covers important aspects of the Department of Homeland Security terrorist threat levels and vital counter measures for crime and terrorism.
