Security's Role In Managing Successful Events
Ty Richmond John Rendeiro, MBA, MA Sony hosted over 5,000 guests at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Their key objective was to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all. Operating in an unfamiliar territory added to the complexity in protecting each and every guest. The scope of responsibility included: translation services, a 24-hour hotline, incident management, emergency response, armed protection staff, and other major endeavors. Sony will undertake this on a bigger scale at the World Cup in Brazil. In addition, Sony’s music, movie and television business is a unique challenge relative to the protection of personnel.
