Andrews International Strengthens Atlanta Presence

Hires Kennesaw Councilman and Security Veteran William "Bill" Thrash

Atlanta, Georgia  (June 1, 2011) - Kennesaw city council member William "Bill" Thrash joins Andrews International as director of business development for the company's Eastern U.S. Region. Based in the company's Atlanta, Georgia operating location, Thrash reports directly to Stephen Aborn, Executive Director. His primary role is to identify and develop new business for Andrews International. Thrash brings more than three decades of security management and operations experience as well as public service experience to his business development role. His prior security experience includes management roles at industry leading security firms, as well as ownership and management of his own security firm. Most recently, he managed several thousand hours per week of physical security operations. Thrash has also owned and operated a residential construction company since 2005. During the past ten years, Thrash has served as a city councilman for the City of Kennesaw.

Thrash was voted Mayor Pro Tem for 2011 and is appointed police commissioner for the city of Kennesaw. He also serves as liaison to the Cobb County Board of Education for the Cobb County Municipal Association, where he served as president in 2004 and 2005, and on the National Board for Youth, Education, and Families, a part of the National League of Cities.
