Experienced Security Executive Hired to Lead Andrews’ Expansion into the Pacific Northwest

Andrews International continues to build expertise and growth with hire of Kolatski.

Los Angeles, CA (February 6, 2009) – Andrews International, a full service provider of security and risk mitigation services, has hired Mike Kolatski, CPP as Executive Director of the company’s Pacific Northwest Region. Based in Seattle, Washington, Kolatski will have oversight of business development and operations in the Pacific Northwest. Kolatski will report directly to Ty Richmond, Chief Operating Officer of Andrews International.

Kolatski most recently served as security manager for the City of Seattle, with responsibility for all City facilities including City Hall, the Municipal Court and Seattle Police Department headquarters, as well as a 62-story Class A high rise building. Previously, he was security manager of the Washington State Convention and Trade Center and had oversight of event security staffing for the 1989 baseball World Series. Originally from Wisconsin, Kolatski began his security career with the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club in 1978.  He also has experience in the public sector, as a law enforcement officer for the City of Milwaukee from 1982 to 1988.

Kolatski earned his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International and is also a Certified Infrastructure Preparedness Specialist (CIPS), as well as a former Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) trainer for the Office of Domestic Preparedness.  He has spoken at various conferences and conventions on topics ranging from workplace violence to ethics.  Kolatski received his Master’s degree in Security Management with an emphasis on organizational security from the University of Denver in the spring of 2008.
