Andrew HeiderVice President, Operations & Business DevelopmentAndrew Heider joined the corporation through the acquisition of HMI Associates in 2005. Previously president of HMI Associates, Andy is now the vice president of operations and business development for Andrews International, with focus on the petrochemical/industrial sector. His responsibilities include management of national petrochemical accounts, industrial accounts, and canine contraband detection teams throughout the United States. Locally, Andy manages the company’s patrol services in San Francisco and operations of numerous accounts in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. Previous to his private security career, Andy was a member of the Los Angeles Police Department for more than 20 years. He worked as a detective in homicide, narcotics and robbery investigations. He was also a police academy instructor and community relations and operations staff writer sergeant. Andy received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Pepperdine University and has completed credits toward a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International) and the California Association of Licensed Investigators. He is also a licensed private investigator and a United States Army veteran.
