Robert "Bob" RuizVice President, Southern RegionAs Vice President, Southern Region, Bob is responsible for all operations and business development for Texas, Louisiana, and surrounding areas. Bob brings to his position more than 23 years of corporate security management experience. His experience includes leading multi-site guard force operations, consulting & investigations, international travel security, executive protection, disaster response program development, workplace violence prevention assessments, physical and electronic security surveys. He also has extensive experience in the areas of process improvement, project management, and financial management. Most recently, Bob served as the Director of Administrative Services for the Houston Chronicle Publishing Company, a division of the Hearst Corporation - one of the nation’s largest multi-media organizations. In this position, Bob’s responsibilities included directing the Security, Safety, Environmental, Intellectual Property, Parking Administration, Real Estate, Contract Administration, and Building Services operations. These responsibilities included leading the operations in various company settings such as high-rise buildings, production/distribution, corporate campus and satellite office environments. Prior to entering into the corporate security sector, Bob gained public service experience as a law enforcement officer. He served as Deputy Sheriff, then later Deputy Marshall for Orange County, California. Bob began his career with the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he worked in the area of telecommunications assigned to support the submarine fleet. Bob obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston. He is also certified in homeland security by the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.
